The annual PerformanceIN 50 list has been released for 2020, recognising CJ Affiliate’s Kate Knight and Aayush Bagadiya.
PerformanceIN.com’s list highlights "the year’s most exceptional, inspiring and influential individuals who are pushing the conventional boundaries to improve the performance marketing channel," explain the publishers.
"The list highlights individuals and rising stars who have not only gone out of their way to push the agenda forward for the performance marketing industry but also adapting and provide solutions for the growing opportunities and challenges as digital transformation accelerates the industry into a next era."
Meanwhile, CJ has been shortlisted for two International Performance Marketing Awards with RevLifter and AT&T Mobility. Winners of the global awards will be announced at a virtual ceremony at the end of November.
Faith in Affiliate
"Being named among the PerformanceIN 50 means the world to me,” explains Aayush, CJ’s Client Services Analyst, based in the Bangalore, India office. "It’s recognition from my peers in an industry I’m proud to be a part of."
Kate, CJ’s Director of Publisher Development, based in the London, UK office, says: "The top 50 list has always been something that I've looked to, to appreciate and recognise those who have helped shape the industry to be where it is today, so being part of this list is something that I'm quite taken by. Whilst I don't want this to seem like a cheesy Oscar speech... I’d really like to thank the colleagues and partners I’ve worked with over the years – publishers, advertisers, agencies, and everyone else.
"While I knew a lot of the team prior, I joined CJ during the start of lockdown in the UK, which meant working with colleagues and partners without meeting in-person for a while – no easy task! But the collaboration, agility, and true camaraderie that’s present at CJ and the wider affiliate industry meant I could hit the ground running, even if that running has only been around my house in Barnet..."
Asked what 2021 might bring for affiliate, both CJ'ers consider the context that 2020 has given.
"Both advertisers and publishers placed a great deal of faith in the channel, and we’ve seen that pay off in droves,” Aayush says. "Looking ahead, in 2021 I’d keep a close eye on the shift in consumer behaviour as it’s going to be a major part of how strategies are devised for both advertisers and publishers.
"With any luck, the world will return to something closer to normality, but affiliate will of course continue to evolve as it always has."
"There’s no denying the pandemic has had a huge impact on global commerce – positive and negative, depending on your business,” continues Kate. "In 2021, I hope to see a return to some kind of pick up in the travel industry, as well as some creative innovations and game-changing partnerships coming from new and existing partners.
"Additionally, I want to make sure that all partners within the affiliate space get access to a fair playing field, and that we create and support opportunities for everyone, no matter how big or small."
