Each year the team that curates CJU’s education sessions asks, “What affiliate topics are most important to our clients?”
Through numerous conversations with you and your CJ representatives, we’ve learned that the topics and opportunities which are top of mind for our clients this year are: global growth, customer measurement and working with influencers.
With that in mind, this year’s sessions at—as well as many of our Discovery Lab trainings—were designed to address important developments in each of these areas. Since we know you only have so many hours in the day at CJU18, we’ve pulled together a guide to this year’s CJU educational sessions.
Looking to tap the surge in cross-border shopping and grow sales without heavy investment? Our session, Driving Domestic Growth Across Borders presented by CJ’s Director of Global Initiatives, Amalia Asan, was designed with that need in mind. This session will show what brands can do now to convert their existing international traffic and how to further grow an international shopper audience for a domestic site. Plan to pop over to the Global Expo/CJU Connect directly following this session to enjoy an international beer and network with partners who are fueling growth in international markets.
Think about attending one of the following sessions to gain fresh insight into how customer behaviors and data can be harnessed to deliver program growth and results your boss will love.
We know our clients crave real-life examples of winning affiliate strategies and this session is packed with them! DISH Network and NMPi will share the innovative, yet very different, data-driven approaches they’ve taken to achieve growth and program diversity. The power of using customer data and sophisticated analysis will be revealed in these case studies. Register for this session here.
Our industry is not so quietly being taken over by a new way of thinking about success—focusing on customer value instead of transactions. CJ has been innovating with this in mind. Jenny Gibson and Angela Ballard, both from CJ’s Product Development team, will show how CJ’s latest solutions have been developed to bring real-time consumer intelligence to our clients and support the shift of affiliate performance measurement towards individual, high-value customers. We’ve gathered panelists from RevLifter, Savings.com, Express and Future Publishing to dig into how personalization can practically be applied to affiliate programs, and avoiding any potential pitfalls. Attend this session to hear them discuss concrete strategies to connect consumers with tailored experiences that lead to higher conversion rates, increased average order values, and overall better outcomes. CJU will be the debut venue for new research on the incremental value of coupon strategies in the affiliate channel. To address the persistent question of whether coupons hurt or help a retailer’s program, Google commissioned comScore to measure the effectiveness of coupon-related paid search exposure. The lead analyst and lead partner who coordinated the study will present their findings and explain what they mean for affiliate marketers. Register for this session here.
Content Publishers and influencers remain one of the most in-demand Publisher models within the CJ network, but capturing an accurate view of an influencer’s impact remains a challenge. Fortunately, we’ve gathered panelists from Sears, TripAdvisor, and Stylebop to share how they position affiliate influencer campaigns (and their results) to secure continued investment and commitment. Attend Building & Measuring High-Performance Influencer Campaigns to hear their first-hand experiences. Register for this session here.
