Who knew a smog shop would be the perfect setting for a soiree in LA?!
Turns out SmogShoppe, located in the Culver City area of Los Angeles, was the perfect place for advertisers, publishers, and partners to mingle, sip, chat, and learn. The former smog shop boasted rich greenery, succulent covered stone walls, and garage doors that opened to reveal a modern industrial space with a funky flair. Where cars and trucks once sat awaiting a routine smog check, partners old and new connected over cocktails.
CJ's regional events bring the networking opportunities that everyone loves about CJU, to amazing venues across the country. This sets the tone for real connections to be made all year round in a city near you.
At the LA Soiree regional event last week, we also had industry experts weigh in on "Making the Case for Affiliate" and how to properly sell the value of this truly valuable channel within an organization. CJ's own Jeff DeBo, VP of Corporate Development moderated a mini-session with Jeremy Aaronson, VP of Sales & Marketing from Upsellit, and Michael Ridgewell, Strategic Consultant formerly of Fandango and Disney.
Jeremy noted that a key part of raising the profile of affiliate marketing is to educate yourself about this ever-evolving channel and its inherent value in order to be able to educate others. Michael added a key metric of importance: ROR (return on relationships). This "KPI" coined by Michael encourages the cultivation of relationships with key stakeholders to help you determine real business needs.
